Current Stance
Present scenario, server is in beta mode and not fully ready. We are still discovering bugs. 
You can join the server when a public beta session is going on, all you need to do is register on the Web-panel and join the server (no need of approval).

 

Overview
Each base consists of three sites, from which, one is selected randomly by the script as the "Active Site". 
The attackers have to destroy the site by planting a C4 device (which is available near their spawn) and then protect the site until the bomb blasts.
Defenders, on the other hand, will prevent attackers from planting the bomb on the active site - and if planted, defuse the bomb.

Site keeps changing - when attackers fail to plant the bomb, when the bomb is defused, if 2 minutes pass and there is no plant attempt or when a player buys switch site item.

Note: There will be reduced time given to defenders to defuse the bomb each time bomb is planted successfully. (50 seconds initially, 40 seconds after that and 30 seconds for the remaining plants).

 

Planting
An attacker can plant the C4 device by holding the LMB on the active site for 10 seconds.
If an attacker fails to plant the device, it explodes doing significant damage to the attacker and nearby players, Site is switched.
Detonator can be used only once to plant, also lost at death.

Defusing
Once the bomb is planted, defenders are given time to defuse the bomb, which can be done by holding down the LMB on the planted site while switched to fist. Site is changed on successful defusal. 

Note: Upon failing to defuse the bomb, in order to defuse the bomb again, a defender needs to step out of the marker and re-switch to fist to start defusing it again.

 

Weapons
There are 6 sets. Set 3 and Set 6 can be taken only after some time has passed or the bomb has been planted once.
Sets are - Stubby & M4, Shotgun & M60, SPAS, Stubby & RPG, Stubby & Laserscope and Shotgun & Chainsaw.

Sets can be changed once per spawn by using /changeset or hotkey P.
Additionally, all SMGs are available, along with Python and Colt which can be removed by clicking again on the GUI. Furthermore, some exclusive weapons and perks can be purchased from the buy menu (explained later in this post).

 

XP and Items
XP bodies as the duality for currency and score in The Demolition Wars. 
XP is gained by - attempting to plant a bomb (10), successfully planting a bomb (20), defusing a bomb (20), kills (1 each) and sprees (5 each).

You can check how much XP you have on the HUD Cash display, F5 displays your kills in score.
This XP can be used to purchase powerful perks and weapons from the buy menu, keybound to B.

Items available in the menu are:
- (5 XP) Ruger Replacement: M4 is replaced with Ruger along with 20 extra HP to come-up for the lost firepower.
- (10 XP) Shotgun Replacement: All sets containing stubby are replaced with shotgun.
- (15 XP) Grenades or Molotovs: 3 per 15 XP, for crowd control (wink wink).
- (25 XP) Permanent Detonator: attackers can use this perk to never-lose their detonator.
- (40 XP) Switch Site: Make the site moveeeeee, yeah baby.

Swap and End - The difference
The game mode is quite unique in VCMP, so are the dynamics. Attacking + Defending is taken under 1 round.
Hence, at swap, XP or kills aren't reset, they are done when the round ends completely, i.e. after a team has both attacked and defended a base.
